Check out these optical illusion Tees I designed for the Uniqlo x Nintendo Tee Shirt Design Contest 2016! To celebrate the launch of the Nintendo Switch on 3 March and to commemorate Mr Iwata's work on the NX(Switch), I've decided to show case my designs even before the winners are announced. I know this means I'm forfeiting my chance of winning, but I've put these designs up so we can all thank Mr Iwata while we play our Switch! One is called "Thank you Mr Iwata" while the other one is called "Everyone Nintendo Together". Click here to check them out & buy one for yourself! Get it while you still can, before Nintendo stops me!
For years, I've been trying to find a better way to brand myself & my designs... and it looks like I've finally found it. Starting 2016, I will be rebranded to a single moniker : Johnii. Watch out for some exciting stuff coming up and the first step will be to follow my instagram @JohniiJohnii (www.instagram.com/JohniiJohnii)
Goodbye "John Leung. Illusive Design".
"John Leung. Design." has been rebranded to "John Leung. Illusive Designs." as of Dec 2013.
I'm focusing on my award winning illusive design collections and further expressing my love for simplicity. My new logo reflects this new direction, by focusing on just the name "John" and continuing the use of my original illusive font face. My website has also been completely revamped. It is now device-agnostic and much easier to navigate (thanks to Weebly). You can still see my other non-illusive designs in the "Special Projects" section.
John Leung Design has experienced a year of hiatus in 2013 because I really needed the time to rest my little design mind. I also used this year to fixed some of the important things in my life, such as my family, my full-time job and home. After experienced a near-death experience this year, my perspectives has really changed and i'm sure it will have a significant impact on my designs thereafter. That's what illusions are all about anyway - perspectives.
In 2014, I will continue my hobby as a designer and express my artistic side at the new "John Leung. Illusive Designs.". Hope you will continue to enjoy!
